Charles and Giorey’s first look was absolutely f*ckin beautiful and we instantly knew we were going to write about it. This blog post isn’t meant to sway you in any way. If anything, just swoon with us over their moment and feel out if doing a first look is right for you.

As Charles reminisced about their relationship and everything that led them up to this day, Giorey inched closer. She cherished each step that brought her closer to the man she was moments away from calling her husband. Holding onto her bouquet and letting her dress flow along with her body, Giorey smiled from ear to ear as she approached Charles. She then stopped a couple feet away from him and let him know it was the moment they’ve been waiting for.

Charles took in a deep breath and slowly turned around. The instant he laid his eyes on Giorey, the emotions were through the sky. Charles lit up and could not hold back the happy tears. Giorey smiled and cheerfully laughed underneath her veil as Charles made his way to her and lifted the veil to take in the entire sight of his soon-to-be wife. He kept saying “you are so beautiful” and leaned in for a kiss. Giorey succumbed to happy tears as she checked out Charles and then they both walked over to a spot to read their vows to each other.

Giorey lovingly watched Charles as he promised a lifetime of love and happiness to her. They reminisced about the first time they met and how their paths were meant to be crossed. As Giorey began to read her words, Charles teared up as she spoke to his attributes and the reasons she loves him. Once they finished reading their vows, they gazed at each other and embraced knowing it was the last hug before taking the next step towards writing their next chapter.

The magic of doing a first look is that you have a moment alone to soak in everything that you both have gone through to bring you to this highly anticipated day. You reminisce the beginning of your relationship all while you are standing in front of your soon-to-be spouse — the person who you may have tried to picture when you daydreamed about your wedding. It is a private moment to yourselves to celebrate that in this crazy thing called life, your paths collided — your connection was inevitable and your desire to hold onto each other was so deep… you decided on forever.
