We are coming through and dropping some great spots to check out for your Evanston wedding.
Jordan + Andrew got married at Palmhouse on 11/11. First off, that date — magical! Not to mention, these two are hands down two of the biggest, dopest sweethearts we’ve worked with.
Let’s rewind to the earlier part of the day. Jordan and Andrew got ready at The Graduate in downtown Evanston. This boutique hotel has some awesome rooms even one that is all decked out Home Alone style. Like legit, Buzz’s girlfriend framed picture and all (IYKYK). Not only are their rooms cool, but their bar and hallways make for cool photo ops. A big plus for having their getting ready at this location was that it was 10 minutes away from their venue.
This is huge because they eliminated any potential setbacks like the stress of unpredicted traffic, leaving something behind and having to hike out and grab it. You definitely want to minimize any factors that could add un-needed stress to your day. It’s showtime baby, let’s have you sit back, get pampered and have fun. No stress and/or drama allowed. Only good times with your people are welcome on this day.
Palmhouse is a woman-owned venue at the heart of Evanston. Its open floor plan with tall ceilings and two fully-stocked bars can be transformed into the space of your dreams for your wedding. We love how moldable the space is to look like you envision for your day.
India, the venue owner, is a sweetheart who is always ready to help you imagine what the space can look like based on your tastes. She will also hook you up with a list of her preferred vendors to bring your vision to life. Janek, the beverage director at Palmhouse, will curate some delicious cocktails for you and your guests to keep the party going all night long. He will sit down with you, plan your cocktail menu and best part? Schedule a fun tasting to get that preview of what your guests will be enjoying the day of.
And can’t forget about the food. Green Spoon Kitchen will delight you and your guests with a spectacular menu. They source all their ingredients locally and you will taste the love behind each dash of spice. The women behind the brand — Monica & Maggie, are very passionate about making your day one to be forever remembered.
Takeaways for our lovers:
* Pick getting ready locations near your venue. Minimize unnecessary stress. Don’t be driving 30min+ to your next location especially if you have a big wedding party. It’s wedding time baby. Let’s keep the stress to a minimum and the fun on high.
* Always ask your vendors for their preferred vendor list. They’ve done the research, they’ve worked with solid talent. Cut some of that work in half for yourself and get those lists.
